Congratulations on all of this! As usual you write with humor, honesty, joy and purpose. Lots of birthing going on in your life right now. Excited for all this is and yet to come. May this next season continue to bring you abundant hope and possibilities unimagined!
Congratulations! Thank you for posing the question, "What else is possible?" As a planner myself, I often don't allow myself to stray outside the lines I have drawn. I hope I can be open to (and even excited by) the possibility of doing so, as you have. Much love, MB.
Dear Rev. Lydia -- I just "discovered you" last night, and couldn't be more excited ... and excited for you! Blessings do sometimes come to us disguised as surprises, don't they? :) I've subscribed to your newsletter and have pre-ordered your book. Your book's message is one I very much take to heart right now. Congratulations and best wishes to you on both babies due in Feb 2025!
I think the older we get the more we love to wrap ourselves up in that cloak of familiarity. We create our lives and get comfortable, feel confident in our expectations and then something happens to remind us how little control we actually have.
Congratulations on your two due dates! I'm actually here from a similar circumstance. My mother was 45 and well into menopause, when she went to the doctor because she thought she had a tumor. Turns out she was pregnant with me! My two sisters were getting ready to go to college, a fact my father was rejoicing in. He was not a happy camper with the change of circumstances, whereas my mother was ecstatic! Somehow, we all adapted and survived, and even thrived!
Mom used to tell me she would pray to live to see me graduate from high school, worried about being an older mom. Well, her will to stay alive was so strong she lived to 103! I think the only reason she passed away then is she became too blind and deaf to want to participate in life anymore.
Lydia, it's so wonderful to hear your "voice" again in my inbox. Congratulations to you and your family in all the various new ways. I cannot wait to read your book :)
Lydia I’m not kidding when I say that just a few days ago I was wondering about you, and now it all makes sense. Congrats on the upcoming book and your pregnancy!! So many things to care about, of course you needed a little break. It’s always a joy to read your words. Big hugs from Argentina ☺️
Congratulations! Wonderful news! Having just become a grandmother, and completely besotted with my grandson, I am only too familiar with that sense of wonder at God’s unexpected blessings! Cry big happy tears and laugh big happy laughs. So excited for you. Love your posts! Thank you and every blessing to you and your family, enjoy the next phase of your pregnancy x
Congratulations, Lydia! On all fronts. This post made me cry, in the very best way. Cannot wait to read your book and to cheer for you in the coming months.
